Thanksgiving and Birthday Fun

Thanksgiving was a little different this year for both of us. We didn't get to see any family since we couldn't get any time off from work. So we went to a friend's house, Dave and Kelli Gora, and spent the day with them, their 2 adorable little boys and Dave's mom. We had a lot of fun with them! They made dinner, Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos and everything was amazing! I brought dessert, I love to make pies. I made a french silk pie from scratch and made an Oreo cookies and cream cake. Its a white cake mix baked with crushed up oreos in the batter and then sprinkled on top. It was a big hit!
I had to leave early, about 9pm and Matt stayed the night over with them. I had to be up at 2am (yes, 2am!) because I had to be at work at 4am to open the store at 5am. I wanted Matt to stay over there since it was just going to be me sleeping for just a couple hours and I didn't want to have to worry about waking him up or him waking me up or whatever. So I got to work at 4am and worked until 130pm. Other than being exhausted it was a pretty good day.

It was also my birthday a few days ago, yay!! Im 23 years old now. I feel old!! lol! We didn't do anything special. I slept in that morning, and then we went to dinner at Red Lobster. Then we came back home and fell asleep on the couch, hahaha! We're so exciting :).

I would love to post some pictures! I can't find my charger for the battery to my camera....so my camera has been dead and I don't know how to fix it. So until I get a new camera or a new charger.... no pictures :( I'm sad about this.

Finally!

So, I finally figured out how to make our blog fun. Took me long enough, lol! Matt and I are loving our jobs, so good things there. And we are super excited that starting February 1st we will have good health benefits through my job at Delia's so we can start thinking about having a family of our own :) yay!
We are sooo looking forward to the Holidays coming up. I could live without the snow (I couldn't believe it when it snowed here the other day) but I love Christmas! We are spending Thanksgiving with some friends here in town since my job won't allow me enough time off for us to go to Cincinnati to see Matt's family. But I get a couple days off at Christmas so we get to go up there for Christmas at least. We can't wait to see everyone!!

New Jobs!

About a month ago, Matt and I both got great news. He was offered the Assistant General Manager at The Liquor Company where he was working part-time. Yay! At the same time I was offered a position as Assistant Manager at Delia's, a girl's clothing store here in our mall. So we both got to quit Outback (although Matt still works one shift a week), and are both making more money!! Woooo! It was perfect timing too. We were both so sick of waiting tables and working at Outback and both opportunities came, kind of out of the blue. We are sooo excited and so much happier!

Our beautiful cake that we got for free!! It was a Funfetti cake and sooooo good.

Matt's grooms cake that he never even got a piece of. Can you believe that Judy doesn't do cakes professionally? I still can't believe she made these.

Cake cutting!! The only piece of cake that we got were the pieces that we fed each other.

Then he tried to smear icing on my cheek. I got him back :)

Our first dance as man and wife. And basically the only quality time we got to spend together during the entire reception. We danced to "Brign It On Home" byt Little Big Town. Love that song.
Me dancing with my brother Nic. He requested a song for us to dance together before he had to leave. I'm so glad he was able to come!!
And me posing with Jessica, my new sister.

Finally Married!

We're finally married! Yay! I'm so glad it's over. Everything was going great until 2 days before and then everything fell apart. But it all got taken care of thanks to a lot of people helping out and it ended up being beautiful. Thank you to everyone who helped!! I'm finally Mrs. Meyers! wooo!

This is me coming up to the tent with my dad after getting out of the convertible. I got stage fright when I looked up and saw a hundred people staring at me, lol.

Me again with my dad. Still not sure if I'm laughing or crying in this picture. All the people staring at me and taking pictures was kind of freaking me out still.

Matt up at the front waiting for me. First time we had seen or talked to each other all day. Love him sooo much!

Pastor talking here in the very beginning. It felt like he was talking forever, but apparently it was only a few minutes.

Ring time. At this point Scott (one of the best men) was supposed to have given both rings to the Pastor but he only gave him one. For a good 2 minutes we thought he had lost matt's ring because he couldn't find it, lol.

We were so relieved when we found the ring (scott had it the entire time), we all started laughing hysterically.

First kiss as man and wife. Best kiss ever. Serisouly we didn't want it to end.

"Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Meyers!"

Yay! We did it!! I was so excited to walk back down the aisle that I forgot to grab my bouquet back from Amy.

We will have more pictures soon!

4th of July

I had pictures that I took all weekend but Michael, my (soon-to-be) brother-in-law, deleted all my pictures by accident when he was trying to fix my camera. Bravo Michael. We had a super fun weekend at Matt's parents house though, I love hanging out with his family, and of course Matt loves to see them. We drove up on thursday afternoon, which was Aunt Teresa's b-day so we all had dinner with her. Then they had a huge party on Friday with lots of family friends and basically we just drank for about 14 hours straight, it was pretty ridiculous. Saturday was a recovery day for all. I think Jessica (Matt's sister) was the only one up before 3pm and only cause she had to work. We drove home on Sunday afternoon so we could chill out before working on Monday. Tons of fun though, love my soon-to-be-in-laws.

Livin Life

Not much going on here. We found a place to have the wedding so we're super excited about that. Time seems to be flying by, I can't believe it's only three months away! We're both just working, working, working trying to save money.

This photo was Matt on Valentine's Day. Isn't he adorable, lol! I also got roses and a giftcard to the book store. I paid our whole rent that month for his present, so we both made out pretty well, I thought.

These are our colors for the wedding (kind of). Its acutally a marine blue and white as the main colors with terracotta orange as an accent.

Matt and me just hanging out at Outback on Date Night. We try to have a Date Night each week on our night off since our schedules are pretty much opposite right now. With me working with AFLAC during the day till 4pm or so and then him at Outback most nights at 430 till whenever. I've been picking up shifts at Outback a couple times a week also, so at least we see each other while we're working, haha. We both work there and even after almost 2 years of it we still go in to eat on our day off. It's amazing we still like the food!
